We’re looking for a reliable and experienced housekeeper to help maintain a beautiful home in Knightsbridge over the weekend. You’ll work alongside one other housekeeper, ensuring the housekeeping and laundry are well-managed while the family is at home. The housekeeper will be needed for 10 hours on both Saturday and Sunday, typically from 7am–5 pm, though occasionally you may be asked to cover the later shift from 11am–9 pm.

Duties will include daily cleaning, organisational tasks, laundry, ironing, and, when necessary, heating up food prepared by the chef.  In addition to housekeeping, you’ll also care for the family’s two small to medium-sized dogs, including walking and feeding them. The family travels frequently, so there will be periods of downtime. 

Candidates must have excellent, checkable references and proven experience working in UHNW family homes.

Benefits: Employed position and includes private health insurance.

Days/hours: 20 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday. Either 7am – 5pm or 11am – 9pm

Salary: up to £25 gross per hour

Silver and Bow are looking for a Temp Housekeeper to join a lovely family in Chelsea while their current housekeeper is on maternity leave. The role will run from March to December 2025.

This is a large, 5-storey property (with a lift) and a busy household with a fantastic team, including 2 housekeepers, a nanny, 2 PAs, and security. The family are kind and welcoming, and the staff are well looked after. The household is well-run, with everyone sharing a family calendar to stay organised.

The family has a dog and guinea pigs, so you must be comfortable working around both.

We’re looking for a housekeeper who is organised, presentable, reliable, good with laundry, a team player, and has a positive “can-do” attitude.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Daily cleaning to a high standard

• Laundry

• Wardrobe management

• Ah hod duties and running errands

Days of work: 5 days a week (including some weekends, in rotation with the team)

Hours: The housekeeper will work across 3 shift patterns:

• Morning: 7am – 4pm

• Mid: 8am – 5pm

• Late: 11am – 8pm

Duties & Responsibilities:

Estate & Property Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of property maintenance, including general repairs, seasonal upkeep, and ensuring systems (plumbing, heating, electrical) are in optimal working order.

  • Manage contractors and external suppliers, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.

  • Keep detailed records of maintenance schedules, expenses, and work progress.

  • Supervise, manage, and coordinate staff rotas, work streams, and schedules.

  • Liaising with the family office.

  • Ensure smooth communication with other team members, overseeing the coordination of tasks and ensuring high performance across all areas.

  • Maintain records of expenses and manage budgets for the estate’s upkeep.

Housekeeping:

  • Maintain the interior of the property to a high standard, including cleaning, laundry, and wardrobe management.

  • Assist with light cooking and ensure the family’s personal needs are catered to

Grounds Care:

  • Working with the gardening team to manage the gardens and grounds, including overseeing seasonal planting, mowing, pruning, and landscaping.

  • Oversee outdoor areas and recreational facilities, maintaining them to an exceptional standard.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing a private estate or similar high-end property, with expertise in maintaining both the house and grounds.

  • An understanding of antiques, fine art, and proper care for valuable items.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent housekeeping skills and attention to detail, alongside a proactive and resourceful attitude.

  • Full UK driving licenses are essential.

  • Previous experience in staff management and overseeing contractors is highly desirable.

We’re looking for someone with positive energy, a can-do attitude, and a passion for creating welcoming and beautifully maintained homes. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator, confident liaising with a wider team and working closely with the office-based EA to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Principals and their households.

  • Bring a fresh, positive perspective to ensure the homes are always inviting and well-prepared for the Principals, including pre-visit checks and adding personal touches to make the properties truly welcoming.

  • Supervise and manage teams of Housekeepers and Gardeners across multiple locations, fostering a collaborative and motivated environment.

  • Coordinate schedules, duties, and staff rotations with the Head of Housekeeping.
